Nothing can soften this notice. Allan passed away in his sleep with family at his bedside on December 20th at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver. You may have known that he was bravely battling an agressive and very painful cancer for the last few months. A couple of weeks ago he had taken a turn for the worse and had emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer. Too much medication, very little food. He never quite recovered from the crisis.

His cancer was very agressive and he was advised two days before his death that there was little else that could be done. We believe that he decided then that he had enough of this painful existence and that he was going to join his beloved son, Len.
